I always think of that scene from Indiana Jones when I get to these guys. It's a damn shame this doesn't actually work. I had considered doing this with Lucca and her gun, but I wanted them surrounded and she only gets one shot per turn.
I am kind of running through monster encounters. I'm trying to emphasize that there are a lot here in the Ocean Palace without actually spending time on them because the story in this part of the game comes after you fight the hordes. I still spend about half the chapter with the hordes…or something like that.
