The start of this comic was based on a conversation I had this very morning- it was pointed out to me that, actually, a robot might not enjoy Endhiran all that much, as the robot in that suffers all sorts of problems from falling in love with a human.
As to why this then segues into a talk about gender identity, not a clue, other than that I wanted to touch on the topic with regards to this robot at some point. I've tried desperately not to put my foot in my mouth- it's a sensitive topic to discuss and I've not left myself a lot of panel space to do it in- but if it turns out I have fucked up here, do let me know.
