I thought to myself, there's no way Annie wouldn't be paranoid enough to do background checks on acquaintances. The Deleters are good at covering their tracks- what with being able to erase memories and records- but I thought I might as well throw Annie/Blue Book a bone by suggesting that they're good enough to find out anyway.
And then I thought it'd be funny if Annie just keeps finding out again every time Cassie wipes her memory. They'd still be stuck in that loop if Cassie's powers were working.
