This really did happen on the way out of Closing Ceremonies. This lady actually recognized the hat/hair combination, and the fact that I had my cosplay guitar on me didn't hurt either. For a few seconds there, I felt like a real webernet celebrity!

…now if only I was making some MONEY off all this silliness.
