You get this a lot at bigger cons, where one can't help but bump into the indigenous population. We had several sports bars between our hotel and the convention center, so that made things especially interesting for everyone. Since I'm lazy and make my costumes out of normal clothes, I guess I tend to look "normal" enough to be safe to talk to, or something.

And yes, that conversation in the second panel actually happened. I wasn't sure what to be more uncomfortable about: the fact that we apparently have this kind of reputation, or the fact that this dude was really, REALLY curious about the subject. I probably should have said "Yes" just to mess with his head.
