I wasn't too happy with Courtly Manners 2. Back when it ran, in May of 2005, I was tired of the Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan series in general after the mammoth The Rite of Serfdom storyline. I was struggling to make schedule, and if I recall correctly, I was struggling to meet my other commitments. Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan had been nominated for a Clickie award at the first Clickburg convention, a Dutch convention dedicated to webcomics, and I was invited to speak there. I didn't get a whole lot of joy out of these things, because they happened right in the middle of a period when I was feeling down on my output and was in fact not producing the quality that I was aiming for. The attention that the nomination got me was largely wasted because it put this sub-par output in the spotlight, over storylines that I thought were better. It was, in short, not a good time for me and it shows.
It was for this reason that when I moved the website over to a new CMS and a new host, Courtly Manners 2 got quietly buried. Three and a half years on, though, I can be a little bit kinder towards it - for what it is, a slapstick romp, it's mostly OK. There are some good verbal moments and it's as funny as anything else with the Baron von Fieffelfalsfaffel in it. So, er… here it is. The script for this sedcond story was by Geir Stroem.
