r/raisedbynarcissists is one of the subreddits I visit that keeps me from wallowing in self-pity by showing me how screwed up it COULD have been if I hadn't had a good family situation. But all these parents that the participants speak of all seem to be broken in near-identical ways, like somewhere there was some dark, satanic factory that churned these people out like they're twisted, malfunctioning smartphones from Hell. You know it's bad when the characters that live in your head feel obligated to come out and comment.
