F-41 Longsword - Ugly marker test

At this point I've misplaced my micron pens and I'm feeling a little unconfident with my newly acquired prismacolors so I put a clean sheet of now vintage Strathmore Drawing Smooth paper on top of my clean sketch, sandwiched a piece of printer paper between the two, and put the stack on the lightbox and marker'd the top sheet to see how it would look.

In this I tried laying down 40% Cool Grey over the entire body of the jet first, getting it a good clean marble texture without any streaking, and added all of the shading on top of that. That 20% Cool Grey actually lightened the 40% surprised and impressed me but the dark ring didn't and so I opted not to do this with the final version.
