OK, here's my official excuse for updating late: I overbooked myself. In the course of one week I expected to go to work, draw a page for Cricket's Creature, a FanDanGo guest comic, a comic banner and some Used Books fan art. At the time I was thinking "I can do all that! I can do anything! I'm invincible!" which of course is totally not true and that's how I ended up late.
Anyway when I introduced Madeline and Davey I thought that they were a bit too similar to Cricket and Dart respectively. So when I did this page I wanted to show how they were different. Davey shows empathy, which Dart can't, and Madeline shows that she's not as tough as Cricket.
I noticed after I'd drawn it I made Madeline into a "sad girl in the snow" in panel six… then she has a panic attack.
