I saw Red Dragon a little while ago and I really like how the blind lady was portrayed. They included little details like how she hung her thumb into a mug while pouring coffee so she could tell when it was full–clever! I borrowed that trick for Cricket's Grandmother of course.

@magickmaker: Creature is pretty scared most of the time because he's in a situation that he doesn't understand fully
@amanda: Gramma has no idea what Creature is actually. She's figured out that he's not a dog like what Cricket told her, (presumably from his two-legged gait and shuffling of clothes,)
@Betajess: Hmm… that would be a neat plot twist… Zaitoichi Gramma… funny!
@Freakenburger: Cricket does have an expressive face, and I generally try to put in a lot of panels just because it seems to make the page seem more substantial.
@Ziffy88: Something about angry Cricket makes her fun to draw
@Warped: I used to do it more like that but the idea of having half the posts on my comic belonging to myself drove me nuts, at least this way I can reply to just about everyone–in theory. Well, it's an experiment anyway!
