OK, with the DD awards a mere three days away, excitement and tension's building. So let me keep you abreast on what's to come: The winner for Best Sketch Style is going to be, Simply Sara, The Chronicles of Wyrden, Silvershot or Scorch. Cricket's Creature is nominated too for some reason. In all seriousness thanks to everyone that voted for me! Also Cricket's going to be presenting one of the awards, or rather a counterfeit one because I did the inks before the trophy design was announced. Oops. By the way, that's why this comic is a week late!

@usedbooks: It's true you *shouldn't* regret last moments but sometimes you do, and it does really suck when a last memory of a loved one is you yelling at them.
@Warped: You're right, it is a very serious disease! I should know, I suffer from it myself. We should start a coalition to raise awareness. I'll get on it…. eventually.
@magickmaker: I know what you mean about TV tropes, never read them if you've got to be somewhere! And "Creature hug" is kind of cute, Cricket just isn't a very huggy person.

@amanda: Actually, the only reason I placed the word balloons that way is I didn't want to cover up the statue. So I split what was originally one balloon into two. In the end I did "cover up" the statue but in a different way…

@Freakenburger: Cricket is supposed to be emotionally awkward. She has a lot of feelings that she's hesitant to admit that she has. In short she's never likely to say "I'm sorry,"(unless dripping with sarcasm,) or "I love you."
I was really surprised at that nomination and it is really cool, I don't think I'll win though.
@BetaJess: It's supposed to be a statue of Saint Loraine, the person that the city's named after. I sort of imagined her as a Joan D'Arc/Saint Martha sort of figure. Whoever sculpted that statue probably took a lot of creative liberties though.
@PIT_FACE: "Butter her up"… I've always had trouble *not* taking that expression literally. Now you've got me thinking of someone chasing Cricket trying to spread butter on her!
