All right, to give you guys a little bit of hint on what Creature's working on check out this older comic http://www.drunkduck.com/Crickets_Creature/index.php?p=255678
Cricket was fun to draw in the last panel, especially with the wrench.
Also, I uploaded the first page of my new minicomic onto Arbitrary Comix so check that out if you're into that.

@usedbooks and Warped: Cricket apparently is wondering that too, though Creature seems to prefer to leave that vague. I actually thought of that after I wrote Creature's note, he probably wouldn't have all that great of grammar and spelling. I changed his use of "too/to/two" specifically to be incorrect but I admit that he does seem a bit too good at the English language.
@Jess: Well, I'm glad that I got that response from you!
@Peipei: I had this idea for a while. Basically it seemed pretty obvious that Creature understood Cricket to some degree, it just wasn't clear how much he understood. Now that he has a notebook to write in he can make his thoughts known much easier.
@SoItBegins: Thanks doode!
@magickmaker: Scientist do tend to be both smart and literate, it makes them better at their job!
@amanda: This is a big deal that Creature can talk to Cricket in some way now. As far as what's going on, Creature's in a situation that he doesn't really understand fully. He probably has less of an idea of what's going on than Cricket. Though he'll be showing off what his invention does pretty soon.
@Steely_Gaze: Creature's actually pretty fluent in how much he understands. In fact he's probably understood just about everything that Cricket's said to him up until this point.
@Zephyrion: Communication's great isn't it?
@Trevor: I dunno, they might go for the futon if they're sleepy.
@Cirdan: Actually the wings don't flap, it does (or is supposed to) fly though. If anything it's mostly a model that works on the same pricipal as a larger vehicle.

    If the wings don't flap, I can't puzzle out how it's meant to get sufficient lift to fly? the four "wings" could rotate to generate forwards motion, but I don't see how the air flow would then generate lift? Is there something I'm not getting here?

    Hah, the trench coat makes them look so Wright Brothers-ey! =D

    To be fair, I do have a rather comfortable futon. ;)

    I like this new dynamic that's been added. Now Creature is able to voice his concerns and opinions. It changes the whole nature of the story. And since he's obviously quite smart, it makes everything all the more interesting.

    I love Creature in his coat. :)

    I really love the Creature's sarcastic face. It is the epitome of "well, duh."

    I'm curious myself as to how he learned to write without anyone noticing. No time for explanations now I guess xD.

    Don't you mean panel 4?
    And I already knew it was the same device as he arrived in, I'm more curious about what it does, is it a spaceship or a way to travel to other dimensions or something else?

    Heh, he looks so cute and irritated in panel 5. And yes! Let's see if it works! But Cricket has a valid concern about being caught outside…

    I like how "in the moment" Cricket lives. She has no cares about all this strange stuff, doesn't want any details about anything, just wants to save her hide and get all this craziness over with asap.

    She looks like that note only confused her more. Great facial expression!
