As of October 30th I am 26 years old, I ususally don't make a big deal out of my birthday but amanda made me a really cool birthday present, check it out: http://www.drunkduck.com/War_of_the_Bands/index.php?p=479054 Isn't she awesome? Also VUS started up again with a mean right hook at me from Warpedwenger check this out: http://www.drunkduck.com/VUS/index.php?p=480764 I actually fell out of my chair laughing from this, now I must avenge my honor! Since two community comics I'm involved with suddenly regained some momentum and I'm doing a minicomic, (psst! new page today,) http://www.drunkduck.com/Arbitrary_Comix/ I'm trying to not think about how much I have to do! —————— replies: @Warped: I've been going for characters with more expressive faces, some more than others. And yes, Cricket spends a lot of time being confused it seems. @usedbooks: That sums her up pretty well, she's a fairly impulsive person. @amanda: Creature by now has probably been fed up by Cricket not understanding him very well. Hopefully the wrench is good enough to defend herself with. @ulthor: It doesn't do dimensional jumps or anything like that. It flies though, and it works in space. @Peipei: That's a good point, I imagine that between he's seen signs and labels read aloud by either Cricket or Higgins and figured out how sylables are stuctured in writing from that. @magickmaker: That wasn't quite what I was going for, I imagine that he's thinking that there's more intesting, more important things to be concerned about. "well, duh" works too though. @Steely Gaze: Glad you like it! I like Creature's "disguise" too, mostly for the fact that it works somehow…. @Thanks! @Trevor: Can I sleep on it? @JNP: You know who build the first plane that only flew backwards? The Wrong Brothers. @Cirdan: I thought of giving an explanation for how it worked, but I refrained from doing so because it didn't seem relevant to the story, and secondly the explanation that I thought of sounds kinda like BS that relys too heavily on sci-fi buzz words. Basically, the wings aren't airfoils but are made out of a mesh the polarizes in such a way that subspace particles get pulled through the mesh in one direction. This can be used to generate either lift or thrust which can be controlled by the pitch of the wings or by fanning them out. In short, it works somehow!
