Hey there, remember me? I really am sorry for the increasing infrequencey of updates, everyone works at their own pace I realize but I'm starting to think that it's hurting this comic's pacing. I'll continue to use my cop-out explanation that I'm doing a lot of side projects, (one of which is tip-top secret!) One of these projects is VUS which started doing what I can only describe as a story arc, the beginning of which can be found here: http://www.drunkduck.com/VUS/index.php?p=506944 As for Cricket's Creature I'll keep updating as consistantly as I can until I get to a good stopping point and then take a break from it. I'll resume this comic once I'm more caught up with everything else. ——————— replies: @chris_wastewater: I meant to reply to you last time, if for no other reason than I like your username. Sorry, I really do try to reply to everyone. @Peipei: Didn't she? I've always thought of Cricket's hair as her most distinctive feature. @magickmaker: Yeah, poor guy. Not very dignified. @amanda: The graffiti was one of my favorite parts too, I like adding graffiti in background shots and I thought it was great that Vickie picked up on that. @usedbooks: Ah yes, that watercolor that I did. I like to submit that as proof that I'm not actually colorblind! I decided to make Creature blue because the original sketch I did for him was on a piece of blue stationary and I always imagined Creature as being blue after that. I started to draw Stitch parallels too. I guess that makes Cricket a crusty-looking Lilo, which I find really weird. @Zephyrion: Thanks, man. @Trevor: Yeah, Vickie's awesome! @Warped: I got a kick out of Stitch being Creature's cell-mate too. @Steely Gaze: Yeah, what blew me away is how close to spot-on the colors were. I've always found it really interesting to see characters that I draw differently. What's an iconic dogcatcher sound like anyway? I imagine a very genial-sounding guy that sometimes punctuates statements with "At your service!" @PIT_FACE: I thought it was too! @JNP: Catching up alphabetically? I guess it's lucky that my comic starts with a "C" right? I always thought the way DD alphabetizes things is a little weird. When I shelve things I'll usually ignore "A" and "The" in front of a title but DD doesn't. I dunno, I find it strange.
