For most of this comic I was drawing Creature with most of his face covered, this bit in the theatre was kind of liberating in the fact that now that I was drawing a complete face I could make the character more expressive. I wanted the movie that Cricket and Creature were watching to look different from the theatre itself so I tried shading differently. I was actually thinking about Peipei's style when I was drawing the panels meant to be part of the movie.
Also, Cricket and Creature get briefly transported into the future to see Sally's date go bad here:

@usedbooks: Cricket subscribes to the punk philosophy of never pay for anything you can make or steal. She probably really likes scamming free stuff too.
I'll admit that I didn't actually have anything in mind for Creature's real name, I think I'll go with your suggestion!
@xX_Jayden_Xx: Thanks!
@Peipei: Yeah, it feels a little like a cop-out that the only thing we know about Creature's real name is that Cricket can't pronounce it. I thought it was kind of a funny twist though.
@magickmaker: Actually Creature wrote that a little earlier before They ran away from the big guy. Now that I think of it it's kind of impressive that Cricket can read in the dark with her puny human eyes.
@Zephyrion: Yep. When industrialized areas developed Westerns became very popular, I guess for the fact that they showed a world to escape to.
@Warped: To be fair out of all the side projects I do VUS is probably the least time-consuming. I'm more worried about keeping up with the top-secret project, WotB, and getting my minicomic finished.
@amanda: Naw, I'm sure the baddies wouldn't wait outside– they'd probably storm in and lay the smack-down if they were outside. At least Creature seems to like the popcorn OK.
@JNP: It would be cool if I had them watching the Devon Legacy, though with technology where it is in this world I don't think their special effects could do it justice. Though I really liked the cameo that you did, Thanks!
I'm not sure if Cricket is "not amused" so much as she is confused.
@Trevor: Yeah, I ought to draw something for Vickie too. I already got an idea too, now if I could just figure out how to budget my damn time.
@Ludeshka: Doesn't he?
@Steely Gaze: Yeah I have an idea of where I'm going to leave off, and it will be sort of a cliff-hanger.
