Looks like Cricket's close to accepting defeat. This could be bad. On the plus side her dialogue was really easy to write.

@usedbooks: Cricket likes to think of herself as that type of character but she's actually not. Everybody's got something that they're afraid of I suppose.
@Jonko: Higgins had Mr. Prescott follow Cricket for some time to collect information about her, that's partly why they know so much. Admittedly that would creep me out too!

@Trevor: I've been getting these up on Friday more often than not. My goal's been Tuesday but I'm always falling behind somehow. By the way, you moved to Chicago right? Have you had a chance to visit Quimby's?
@khard12: In a city the size of St. Loraine fifteen-hundred is still less than one percent of the population. Admittedly that would suggest that it's either a terrible town to be a runaway in or a really good one. It might also be that Inspector Hawthorne is inflating that number to try to scare Cricket into talking.

@Warped: I had to work on Free Comic Book Day so it wasn't really happy. I had an angry Free Comic Book Day though.

@Ludeshka: What a nice compliment! I like stories that have empathetic characters that get their lives wrecked. I get bored with stories when things go wrong and I don't quite care because I didn't really care about the characters in the first place. I'm glad you seem to think that I'm more in the former category.
@freakenburger: Well, it's a classic for a reason. So people in your school put people into holding cells and threatened their family? Your school sounds scary!
