Hey! A whole week late, I'm awesome! No, wait…
Higgins is becoming an increasingly difficult character to write for to the point where I'm thinking that he might be kind of a "straw villain." Basically he seems almost a little too blatantly evil and lacking in actual motivation so he basically just acts like a really huge jerk.

@Warped: Free Comic Book Day wasn't all bad, my package from Top Shelf came that day and I got Owly and Friends. It's like a tiny miracle! Your FCBD sounds awesome though, but shame on you for not going to a comic store!

@usedbooks: Stoic characters can sort of work depending on the story. Characters can get away with acting like that if they're genuinely fearless, (at least I think so.) But I like characters that have fears but like to pretend that they don't.
@magickmaker: Well, she's pretty close to cracking already.
@Ludeshka: I like those panels too, they sort of show that Cricket's starting to realize how screwed she is.

@amanda: She can say that, and she did! My mother has some odd sayings too, admittedly your mother's funnier than mine!
@theBSdude: Yeah! I've wanted make her swear more outright but I sort of want to maintain a "T" rating too. Maybe someday I'll make a comic that's nothing but swear words. Y'know, to get it out of my system.
@khard12: She probably said that too, I think that advice comes a bit late though.
@freakenburger: She just tends to piss people off doesn't she? What can I say? I like freaked-out expressions!
@PIT_FACE: I think that being defiant is how she deals with being scared. Don't mention it by the way, you totally deserve it!
@R Cain: Yeah, I sort of like that chain on her shoulder for the fact that it's additional device for implying motion, along with her hair and her scarf. It's kind of annoying to draw though. I'll make sure that all my characters get that message too. Eventually.
@JNP: Dunno if she's got much sarcasm left for this encounter. Sorry about not replying to ya, I meant to and I'm not sure what the hell happened, but no worries! I fix!
@JNP from two weeks ago: Having family does sort of suck when they can be used as leverage. Cricket is really unfortunate that she doesn't have many friends or family at all. Hope she had the foresight to plan that ambush though.

@kaiyaweird: What a nice comment! I'm always flattered when somebody takes the time to read my entire archive. I'm glad you think the pacing is decent because I've been worried that it might be a little too slow.
@mbloom: Thanks, dialogue is another thing I worry about a lot. Cricket's was really easy to write here though.
