Well this is the first time in a great while that I've actually had a page ready on my supposed update day, maybe I should change my official update day to Friday or Wednesday. As weird as it is I'm actually on schedule for my next update as well. Weird. ———————————————- replies: @oldguy: Yeah, the Hooligans are sort of like IRA gangs. Most of the inspiration comes from old anarchist worker rights groups though. To be fair though, in the world of this story an organization like the Hooligans would probably be labeled as "anarchist" but they're not in the truest sense. If all members of the Hooligans had some say in the leadership they would be but Dart appears to be a more or less absolute leader. @Peipei: Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed the fanart! @usedbooks: That's the realization that Cricket's come to. I have trouble getting into fantasy in general for about the same reasons you do. A lot of fantasy stories that I've read seem to be making a point of some sort or at least have a cohesive theme– which is OK. The problem I have is when the characters and plot are secondary to the theme of the story if that makes sense. @Trevor: Well have fun eating ribs! I might actually take ya up on that offer one these days. @khard12: It might be too late, yeah. @amanda: Actually, that's a good idea! I did draw a more heroic-looking Higgins with a utility belt and adventure-type gear and a more evil-looking Cricket with filed teeth, facial scars and too many belts. Just for fun I threw in Creature with a better disguise (a diving helmet,) and a talkative Prescott. @Warped: Learn to color like JNP? Naw, the only that'll happen is if he becomes radioactive and bites me. @freakenburger: Don't get me wrong, it's not that I want to be like other Steampunk out there but I'd like to be different due to subverting conventions deliberately. In this case I'm different because of my ignorance for the genre. I guess since the end product is the same I can always pretend I'm clever right? @Zephyrion: Thanks! @JNP: She might be bright or maybe just paranoid. In all actuality Dee probably never meant for any of this to happen to his Gramma or his sister. Cricket sort of got involved by accident and Gramma too by proxy. @PIT_FACE: Yeah, before it's too late! @Hyena Hell: Hey, cool! I didn't know you read my comic! I really like the Hub too, I haven't been commenting much 'cause I can never think of anything to say that's appropriately clever. I love the way you write dialogue and your drawing style though. @Steely Gaze: Really? You've never seen those? They're both definitely worth checking out.
