How Does it Work?

I'll admit that this page was a bit tedious for all the technical-ish drawings I put into it. I like technical drawings but they are a bit tricky to keep consistent and if you go overboard with them they can get a little boring.
This page also has some pretty bad science in it too. Like how Higgins has a unique piece of alien hardware and he's applying enough electricity to it to make big ol' arcs like that? Right. (In actuality he probably increased the power gradually in intervals and eventually got the arcing.) So does admitting to using bad science make it OK?

@Peipei: I was worried that the buildings might look a bit lopsided, I do like some parts of that panel like Higgins' house. I mostly used the graphic novel "From Hell" for reference.
@oldguy: Haha! I'm glad you think it works.
@usedbooks: Actually the way I imagine this city there's not much in the way of wilderness around. Maybe he has the rifle for defense against burglers? I guess Higgins likes weapons as part of his decor.
@chris_wastewater: It goes 0-60 in five minutes and gets eleven miles to the gallon!
@Zephyrion: Thanks!
@amanda: It would be pretty disappointing if he hadn't figured out anything at all by now. As it is he knows some but not not quite enough.
@Trevor: I've actually met people who've read my comics too– they made fun of me though. Personally I think it's funny, so it's all right. Grant Morrison? What can I say? he's not a bad writer really, he's just never really impressed me all that much. "Kill Your Boyfriend" was all right but most of his stuff I can take or leave.
@khard12: That's true. If he could figure out solutions to everything too quickly he'd have his own moon base by now and be bored out of his mind!
@Steely_Gaze: As I've understood mad science when written well is that someone seeks the mastery of something new without really considering the ramifications of doing so. In Higgins' case he means well, he really does. He just doesn't care about all the lives he wrecks on his mission to improve the world.
@Jonko: Hey, thanks! I didn't get the nomination but I'll be helpin' out with awards with presentations and such.
@Ludeshka: I can tell that you do from how you do your comic! I'm glad you like the direction I'm going.
