That's going to put some strain on their working relationship.
As we've established previously, vampires are forbidden from drinking the blood of other vampires, save for rare occasions such as enemy combatants in wartime conditions. As taboos go, this one would be somewhat similar to the general human aversion towards cannibalism… but cannibalism (fortunately for all of us) doesn't give you more superpowers.
