There are points of friction between a lot of the members (like Perfect and Knight) but others who are more simpatico.  We just thought that this would make a good charadcter moment between MM and Energize—between MM who needs little sleep, and Energize, who needs none.
It helps spotlight some of Energize's differences from others, as well as his longing for his lady, who unfortunately, after the end of this series—well, if you read Energize, you know what happened to Misty.
They're friends, only friends.  But late at night, it helps to have someone to talk to.—Al
