This is the second half of the page I ran Thursday—I wanted to introduce them as a group and individually, but I just couldn't in time. So I broke it in two.
Confession time: years ago I got the idea for _A_ Doppelganger Gang, a bunch of fairly good guys, one being from our world, one a female version of that first one, one from a world where there never was a Dark Age and whose science was far in advance of ours, and a knight-type from a world where the Dark Ages never ended. All of whom would fight another version of themselves–the last American President in a world that underwent nuclear armageddon.
I did a few preliminary scenarios, but never actually wrote the stories, and left the idea in a notebook–and let it take root and germinate.  And eventually, they later became the germ of the idea for the bad guys in THIS series—but I thought I'd pay tribute to the original idea here.
The JLA met their "evil" twins in the Crime Syndicate.  The Star Trek crew met their doppelgangers in the "Mirror, Mirror" universe.  It's fitting that there be "good" versions of the Gangers–and sensible that the President would exile them to just one reality.
