Well, so much for the element of surprise…

Today's beautiful page was done by Remus, and most of the dialogue is from a script he did for the first leg of this story, including the Spinoza quote.

It's fitting we should see the Smiling Man in the last panel—we're going to be seeing a lot more of Smiley and his allies, the next few weeks—as well as the good guys.–Al
