I often wish America had trains and subways like Japan.  I know some cities do, but not enough.
 
It's usually a pretty nice ride, except during the heavy commuting times where you don't get a seat and you're packed in tight around people you don't know.  But even THAT isn't so bad.  The ride goes quickly and nobody ever says anything.  My favorite thing to do was look at the advertisements.
