This is the last joke with Trel freaking out about hats for a while I promise.

I'm going to start working towards a new project. As you may or may not know it is awful hard to get artists to work on project for free, particularly as many artists need to eat and pay bills. So my goal is to make a for profit comic that pays juuuuuuust enough money from each chapter to higher an artist to draw the next chapter.

My goal is to combine Cafe Press, Project Wonderful, donation incentives, PDF downloads of the chapters and anything else I can put together to try and raise the money. In addition I plan to try and publish or at least self publish the comic if it is sufficently successful. I'd very much like for this to end up being a good way for talented by unknown web artist to improve the resume a little but we'll see what happens.

Why am I mentioning this now? Well mostly so I stay commited. I'm hoping to have this ready to roll out by early 2009 and by publically mentioning it now I hope that keeps me motivated and working on it. I've wanted to start this project for a while and now I mean to really go through with it. More details as they develop.
