Sorry for the lack of stories lately but my wisdom teeth have been killing me. I'm not sleeping well at all.

Alas Cwen didn't win any of the DD awards this year, which was kind of expected. Cwen falls into the same sort of trap that Buffy the Vampire Slayer did, it just isn't the sort of thing you give awards to no matter how well done it is. We've all been conditioned to appreciate drama over comedy so dramatic stories tend to usually beat humor. Not that I am complaining mind you, given that I didn't campaign at all for the DD awards it is a real honor just to be nominated and if I was sore about it I could go crazy on one of the other awards going on right now. But it is something you hear a lot from people who specialize in humor. I know Dave Barry, despite winning major awards for his writing, always got flack for being a "silly humor columnist" and "wasting the paper's time" from his fellow co-workers. At least humor gets respect from the masses though if not the academy; now fantasy, man do I feel sorry for those guys. They get shunned by everyone. Fantasy sadly is ranked even lower than comedy or sci-fi. Anyone doing fantasy must just be glutton for punishment. Oh wait…….dang it! Ah well at least all those people online like fantasy and humor right? ;)
