I am so glad to finaly have revealed the Cwengel.  This was something I had planned since the comic began and it is nice to have finally gotten to the pay off.  The idea was inspired by the angels from Ah My Goddess (A manga that I enjoy) which are supposed to reflect one's inner self, one's soul if you will.  I mused about what would happen if someone has spiritually stunted (among other things) and the idea seemed pretty funny.  On top of that I was playing the game Magic Pengel at the time, a odd little game where you basically get to draw your own pokemon type creatures, that got me thinking about the name Cwengel which seemed amusing.  From there I only had to sit on the idea for four years until the time was right to slip it into the comic.
