My friends and Readers,
As I'm sure most of you have heard the American Government is attempting to past a new law SOPA, which would results in fundamental changes to the internet and limit our freedoms worldwide. I'm sure you know I usually don’t put politics into my work but usually we don't have such a clearly dangerous bill on the verge of passing into law. I truly feel this law benefits no one but massive corporations and once more twist the law from its stated goal of protecting the people and creating justice. I don't ask though that you take my opinion for it, but rather become informed yourself and listen to many experts and innovators who have spoken out against this issues. I think the conclusion that this law is damaging to both the US and the larger community of the world is inescapable to anyone without an agenda. There is other legislation, such as the Open Act which could address the concerns SOPA claims to fix without resorting to draconian measures, but those will never even be considered unless we defeat SOPA and its sister bill PIPA now. I’d ask everyone who hasn't already done so to go to one of the numerous web sites such as AmericanCensorship.org where you can be informed about this bill and form your own opinion about SOPA and PIPA and then more importantly act on what you decide.
