Really, it's gotten slightly more accurate of what it actually looks like to the human eye, but I refuse to do this in colour. It would burn your eyes out.
I love my new patterns… I got them off a great site, http://psychobob.xepher.net/screentonez/ If you need a tone, get it there. They have just about everything. It looks really great, makes my comic look a bit more professional than it is, and they're quite easy to use. In photoshop, you cn get to them through the paint bucket tool, and then setting it to patterns in the drop-down menu. Just selct what you need tones, bucket in the pattern you want, and done.
