Well, this, the next, and the previous page have had some interesting things going on. Red is playing with style and different inking techniques, as well as making the images looser. And the angled text bubbles…oy. I now have a bit of respect for those that do it…unless I did it the hard way and tried to line everything up on the angle, and they make it straight and then angle it. In that case, I am crazy.

The pages after the two-page-spread were assembled a bit quicker than two-pager itself…but she spent not only several weeks pondering that composition (I actually think it was more a month in the making, but I have no concept of time), but also the following ones. The preceding pages were pretty reliant on what was going on there.

That, and her back snapped like a twig a week and a half beforehand. As far as movement goes, there were pretty much three days of flat-on-ass grumblings. Having had something do that to me once (though I seem to recall one other, minimum), I pretty much went into mother-hen mode. She's doing better, now…and I am kind of sad I didn't get to throw in a drawing of my version of the situation (it would have involved a box leaping from her hands, pulling a cutlass, and going for her back), I have the good feeling of at least thinking my overbearing healer self helped her get better faster.

I had my yearly "grrr Christmas music grrr…" moment last week. Yes, I hate Christmas music. If you want to know why, try working places that play it from early November through January. On the plus side, my work place has mercifully stopped playing it. One can only be jolly for so long until "Jingle Bells" makes you a little crazy. I cite Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Navi.
