If you, dear reader, ever get the idea to tell an epic story in serial form…. well…. you might want to stock up on valium for the ride. We hope you've enjoyed this introduction to the world of Daidal, and we thank you for sticking with us thus far.
We'd like to say a few things about this last arc, and give credit where credit is due. We are greatly indebted to a collaborator - who would like to be known as Valacor, for the character he brings to us - for this interesting little thread. We can't say a whole lot about the content, of course, but we *can* talk about our experience with it.
It has been… special.
There have been revisions and frantic messages trying to resolve different interpretations of the draft, and more than a few adult beverages to assist in getting through said draft. Any and all complaints about the content or the delays and mulligans involved in writing this particular thread of plot may be addressed to him. As he says, and I quote: "i will be burried with my typo crown fermly bolted to my head"
It took me a month to transcribe the original notes into something legible, all the while the deadline for that arc to begin was bearing down on us - and even as we were finalizing these last three pages, there were some rather pivotal details he revealed that had heretofore been unknown to us.
I've wanted to fly to his city and do him bodily harm more than once.
Red had to be restrained when Val casually mentioned the heritage of not one but three characters was inaccurate (the draft made no mention of any irregularities) several weeks after a page including one of them was not only painted, but published.
To say the draft was rough is to say a marble quarry is roughly a repository of statues.
Nonetheless, the Tapestry would not be complete without one of its patterns, and so.
Thanks Val - we hope you approve - and remember, god-modding is bad, so let's try and make deadline with pertinent data hey?
