Chapter 1, Page 14 - The tradesquarter

Mom came for a visit. That was cool. We crawled through yarn shoppes and talked fiber and art and politics, and generally fussed to each other in time honored tradition.
I worked on Halloween, and that was kinda cool too, actually, since we got to dress up. It was also cool because it was one blip in an otherwise wonderful and rare fortnight scheduled to myself.
Fate had to crush me somehow though, and did so through the unfortunate medium of road-cone versus car. While not the travesty it could have been, it was highly inconvenient and stole rather a lot of time (and now, money.)
Of course, since I've been writing most of Tapestry recently, it meant a page delay. Sorry folks. You'll get two this week to make up for it.
Oh - and this Saturday we'll be at the Kid 'N Ewe and Llamas Too Festival in Boerne - though not as vendors this year. I will have my iPod/Portfolio with me though, as well as sock-in-progress and sketchbook. If by some chance it is a small enough world for you to be there too, say hi. I won't be hard to find.
