Can everyone read my messy, squished handwriting okay? I seem to have run out of room while working on it.
No, Roy. Drawing it is NOT a pain: coloring it is. A MAJOR ONE. I really didn't want to put Wazaga through the stress and effort of finding the right color schemes and establishing the right mood for this blasted old building everyone lives in. Heck, I didn't want to, but I really had no choice. I probably spent an hour alone just messing around with color choices… it was awful. I wasn't sure if I wanted the base stone to be light yellow, white, or grey, and the windows/frames themselves were an immense pain, just getting them to fit in with everything else. AAAAGH!
But hey, in the end I'm pretty pleased. Hopefully it both looks rather cheery and old at the same time. I can tell you, though… you'll probably never, if ever, see the whole outside of this building EVER AGAIN. EVER! Gah.
Anyhoo. Can anyone think of a cool address for this place I can use? Heck, even a name for it would be cool. The house I live in is called "Oakland" because we have a ton of huge, really old oak trees on the property. Something like that for this place would be helpful.
I playe around a little bit with Roy's costume here. The changes will become much more obvious in about two or three strips when they're inside.
Okay, 'till next time (when you get to meet the landlady!).
