This page nearly didn't get finished in time to post on Friday. After a long dry spell, we got hit by a bad thunder storm with very high winds. Electrical power was knock out in my neighborhood for about four and a half hours. Some areas are still without power as I write this.
The power outage also affected Villainland, Roy Duncan's podcast on which I co-host. Right before the show was to start, my mom called saying she was still without power. She is a widow and lives alone. I was concerned, so I did what any son would do - I went to her aid. Her neighborhood is one still without power. It's funny how the grids are set up in this town. On the way to her house, I went through areas with lights right next to those without. The power crews have their work cut out for them tonight.
