Today (1 VIII 2009) is 65 anniversary of Warsaw Uprising. I am a Pole, so for me it's important historical anniversary.
It's not place for debate if allowing that to happen was a right decision or not. Military and politically it couldn't success, yet there is always possibility that Nazi would blow up Warsaw to stop soviets like they once tried to stop allies in France.
Yet, there is something what I want to say.
Hitler and Stalin should be remembered as equally evil people, and Nazism and Communist as equally evil ideology. Of course, Stalin joined to allies. Yet, he did that AFTER he was attacked by Hitler and BEFORE THAT they had TOGETHER started WWII (read about Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact).
That what Russia want to do forgetting that and Stalin's crimes is wrong. Those who don't remember history are doomed to repeat mistakes from the past.
