Xserion diamondback is one of the great fire dragons, and is renowned for his learning, and for his grasp of magic. He lives in a fortress made of flamestone and diamond, deep in the heart of a volcano.

Xserion is from the Wyrm genus rather than the Drake genus of dragonkind. Wyrms typically resemble snakes to a degree, with long, sinuous bodies, no wings, and often spines down their back. Drakes, on the other hand have a more avian build, with wings and scales and diamond-hard talons. despite their lack of wings, many of the more powerful wyrms can fly by magical means.
