text reads:"The litch*, Velstor, prepares to ruin a farm from afar with dark magic."

Velstor is testing a spell he recently acquired, which works on the same principles as a voodoo doll, visiting upon the desired target what is visited on an icon thereof.
The farmers on this particular farm sacked him as a farmhand, once, starting him on the long road to Wizardhood, and thence litchcraft. He never forgave nor forgot them.

*A wizard who used forbidden rights to turn themselves into an undead spellcaster, who would never die of old age.
