Rune-Encrusted Orb Bearer

The Rune-Encrusted Orb bearers are different from other automata in that instead of seeking out items of magical power to sustain themselves, they seek out sources of natural magical power, which they use to recharge the eight elemental orbs in their power crux.
The orbs, pertaining to light, darkness, fire, ice, wind, earth, water and lightning, grow or shrink depending on how much magical energy they have been fed. Orb bearers that have lost one or more elemental orbs seem to go haywire, acting seemingly at random and eventually falling inert, unless attended by other Automata.
Because of their unique souce of sustenance, they are more widely travelled than other Automata.
