Aeons ago, during the Celestial Schism, the Angelic host came to strife amongst itself, splitting to form the modern Angels and Demons. A lesser known fact about this, known only to a few theologists, is that a number of smaller groups splintered off, bearing little or nbo alleigance to either side. One such group is the Angels of Iron, a band of militaristic zealots who believe, that one should put one's faith in good, solid steel, rather than distant otherworldly beings. This has caused them to be known by some of the wittier Celestial Angels as "The Angels of Irony."
