Finally, comic #3 is up! I think that shop owner better be careful, because he could get in BIG trouble. Aside from that, why is William's kind seen as being destructive? After all, many large creatures such as whales and manatees don't cause us much trouble.
And even if they were man-eating savage monsters, that would probably not be as bad as the many wars we wage… and quite frankly, I don't think someone would make that much of a meal to him. I think it's that fear of the unknown, the same reason most dragons are depicted as being evil, at least in Western culture. Even dragons are different, some are furry and friendly, such as in http://www.drunkduck.com/public_humiliation/ and most of Secret of Mana, some are scaly and monstrous, and others are even snake-like in appearance!
