And so it begins.

Maijin IS fighting fellow demons here. In Hell the demons fight each other to get stronger and into favour with the higher ranks.

Malebolge is the eighth level of Hell according to Dante and in Decrepit Seal some of the most powerful battle demons in existance living in it. The 10th and deepest segment of Malebolge which opens upon the deepest level of Hell is where Maijin has resided for millenia.
