I know I'm going to get a lot of questions about this one.

Why is it dark when they turn on the flashlight?

The demon world Saturno lives in has extreme lack of light, but the creatures there are used to it and can see in darkness, But when they are near a big light source (such as the portals to the human world) their eyes can't adjust that well and so can't see as well. Does it make sense or am I doing this all wrong?
