About the mature content: I based Alpha and Vinchi's character designs after nude anatomy drawings in my life drawing classes. The intention was to study and improve anatomy by drawing nudity and muscle. I try to keep them anatomically correct, so it doesn't have the alterations that would be more common in fan service based comics. Never the less I knew what it would look like and I thought to myself why work so hard to disguise a femme fatale character when that is what Alpha is? Sure there will be surprises and development and all that jazz in the story. (Don't knock me on the head too much with feminism stuff. Vinchi a male is nude too.) but I just don't feel that nudity in life drawing has to be confined to fine art.
Anyway about mature content in DE, I'm trying to keep it between a PG13 and R. No sex or heavy language content, but there will be scenes might push things a bit. It's like Harry Potter. The 1st book was all cute and kiddy then it gets progressively more dark as HP grows up. So just take it as it is. From the beginning I knew this was going to be my maturest comic yet.
