Yes they all come from the land creature, starting out of little red globs.

"And how come she can have children and they can't?"
She can have children because she is the biggest and can use the full extent of her adult cells. She can stretch out her cells without restraint like the other must do.

"Also what determines what they look like when they are born?"
They all start as lil red globs and take on new features as they eat and grow. Eating causes the creatures to mutate based on what they are eating and it can be random too.

"Are there separate species? Like there was more than one frogdog but the rest of the creatures all look different."

It's weird but this world consists of all the same species.
