They hunt for Saturno to have control how much he eats per day. They can estimate how strong he is that way. They have to watch him eat to make sure he eats and to make sure Saturno stays in a human form.

It's also a psychological thing for Saturno. As long as Saturno believes that he is weak and won't stand a chance out there on his own he will stay with the club and not run away.

If Saturno hunted on his own he could get as strong as he wanted, turn into anything, and will know the truth that he doesn't need the club.
