Canth isn't intimidated at all by the presence of deity.

Panel 1: "You must get out of this temple. You cannot remain here. Long ago, a spell called the Final Heaven was cast upon the walls of this temple. It is a nullification spell, that draws its power from those who dwell within it."
Panel 2: "The only way for you to ever leave this place is to destroy the crystal at the heart of the Final Heaven. It drinks its prisoners vitality, keeping the barrier spell forever in place. Have you noticed, you feel weaker than usual? Well, in time you will. The more you fight, the more power you lose to the Final Heaven."
