P13volution onKite's dangerous psychosis strikes again–Err, did I say dangerous psychosis? I meant lovable eccentricity! Yeah, he's just eccentric, not at all clinically disturbed!
In all seriousness, this isn't the most ridiculous situation Kite as ever been in. Sure they could probably outrun the two walking trees with ease and make it back within the safety of Academy grounds or at least back to Strikedramon. For Kite though, it makes perfect sense for him to take on two Champion level Digimon with one In-Training Digimon he met several seconds earlier.
Now when I start poking holes in my own story like this, its not like when I'm criticizing my artistic fallacies. I'm not confident in my ability to draw comics quite yet, but I have much greater confidence in my writing. Kite exists almost entirely to poke at these tropes, a protagonist at the intersection of derring-do and dumb luck. Hopefully over the course of the comic he'll evolve from being too-dumb-to-live, but-too-lucky-to-die into something a bit more heroic.
Those symbols on the Woodmon Brother's are the kanji for "Red" and "Blue" which is a reference two other famous pieces of wood. Its also how you can identify them, Red is the leader who does all he planning and Blue is just loyal to his brother, but a little bit of a bumbler. I hope I got those symbols right, but I guess if they are wrong I can always give an in-story excuse for it. I mean it must be hard to paint symbols on your chest upside down with those arms.
