Continuing the no-inks experiment even further, only some spots were darkened/filled with black, the rest is raw pencils. Result: the shaky backgrounds and floating faces look a little bit more as if they were planned.
A bit better page layout, I think the idea with the central borderless panel is good (or rather using his white hair as panel border).
Also messing around with coloring. Normally I start with greyscale and then apply color, this page was done in the opposite order. First nicely "flatted" all the areas on one panel and then painted the shades underneath. It helps to avoid the "people who came out of coalmines" look that happened on some earlier pages.
