Din Krakatau

Author notes

#54
Aurora Borealis onMistake #1: the blood. While it looks cool on the tentacles on the first panel, it simply disappears afterwards without even a mention what happened to it.
Mistake #2: Din casts no shadow when he's jumping at panel 3.
Mistake #3: the shading of the tentacles on the upper panel is too chaotic and inconsistent with the rest. Basically an experiment gone wrong :)
Mistake #4: Where the hell is the flaming guy? He should be behind her, whoops.
The good stuff: other than the aforementioned and relatively empty backgrounds, I really like this one :D
Spent some time struggling with the pose on second panel, redrew it like 4 or 5 times. Finally I used a mirror to look it up and then I realized that what I'm trying to draw is impossible, no way anyone would be able to get up from that. So I modified the pose. The idea was that his left leg goes much lower, very close to the ground, almost tuoching knees together, but that really didn't work, heh.
