…the weird background coloring continues.

It popped into my brain when I was preparing to do the previous page. I have left backgrounds on this one mostly because there isn't much to put onto a background in the place they are. It would be either stone walls or darkness… or I'd just leave it white.

I decided that putting in those geometrical patterns should help the page, while at the same time keeping it separate from the artwork by not using any lineart. I think it worked well. I tried to make these somehow complement or reflect the rest of the panel.
Also, notice totally flat coloring. I felt it would be appropriate here, what with all the geometric shapes behind.

A quick note on the quickspell bracelet. I originally intended to give Sara two guns for this sequence, but later decided that I am really sick and tired of drawing her jacket. Having her hold two guns AND the backpack/jacket in her hand wasn't too convenient. And she wouldn't survive long with just one gun. Thus the bracelet, which allows her to cast each spell once. And also, it gave me a chance to put in SOME words on the page :)

Overall, one of the best pages finished.
